The “Catalog of On-Site Artist Services” (COSAS) highlights works by local artists and artisans working in the built environment. The goal of this online publication is targeted towards interior designers, architects, developers, and home builders and buyers, to encourage them to utilize artist services in their projects. In COSAS, you’ll find updated artist contact information and images, as well as descriptions of their work. A print version of the COSAS will also be available. The aim of this updated (and updateable) COSAS project is similar to that of the original: that is, to showcase San Antonio’s artists and their talent for creating site-specific works that combine functionality with exceptional artistry.
Categories and ContentThe following artistic disciplines are categorized in the COSAS catalog: Ceramics and Glass; Design Team Services; Fiber Arts; Lighting; Mixed-Media; Painting and Graphic Arts; Photography and Media Arts; Sculptural Fabrication. Each COSAS artist inventoried includes descriptions, contact information and other details, such as artistic media used (Oils, Acrylics/Watercolor, Metal, Stone, Concrete, Wood, Fibers, Glass, Mosaic, Ceramics, Plastics/Fiberglass, Film/Video, Digital Arts, Photography, Mixed-Media, and Other).
Submittal RequirementsSubmittal requirements to be used for the catalogue: current resume, ten labeled digital images, image description list and brief description or statement. Also, a release form to use images and contact information on the COSAS website must be signed.
Eligibility/Evaluation CriteriaArtists and artisans working in the greater San Antonio area are eligible for consideration for the COSAS Catalog. The following evaluation/ selection criteria are used to establish new artists in the catalog: professional qualifications, functionality, artistic merit, presentation, uniqueness/craftsmanship, and capability to execute the work.
